on my obd0 b16a in my crx i have a chipped pr3 ecu running it and it has run fine for the last 6 months chipped.. now all the sudden when i slam 2nd gear vtec will disengage and i will hit a fuel cut rev limit at 7k rpm. this alsom happens on 2nd and 3rd gear pulls but it doesn't always hit that fuel cut rev limit.. also the vtec is in and out some times and if i jump on and off the throttle a few times after i hit that rev limit it will let me past 7 ... very strange.. i know to check the little screen, and check the oil, and try a stock chip in the ecu.. but does anyone have any other recomendations for this problem because its drivin me crazy how this happens all the sudden now.. thanks in advance for any help

 

new update. cleaned the screen in the vtec sylinoid and put the stock ecu chip in... now it still does it . but after many test runs no matter what it only does it when i slam 2nd gear and it doesn't do it until the third run or so..
