Default Problem: Weird vtec sputter at changeover

my car didnt do this until my engine bay got soaked when my radiator hose flew off while on the highway and i had to pull into car wash to get hose rinse engine bay areaa..... and then refull the radiator and attach the hose....

the next day car runs perfect other than vtec commit/engage at full throttle... i can ease it into vtec and it will run but as soon as i floor it vtec sputters bad sounds like its cutting in and out...

i check all my grounds and they are all good... changed out wires... what do u think is next

Could have nothing to do with the spill..
My car did the same......... well to think I was a little different. I could Floor it into VTEC and it would switch over smoothly, but when I ease it into it sputters, Turned out I had a Intake Manifold Gasket Leak. ..
So my Advice would be to check for any vaccum leaks anywhere.

Also who does it idle now???

Ok this happens I used to work at a carwash and we had this happen to 70% of the cars. they all had a different problem tho. Some would misfire, some would throw cels, and others just wouldn't just start at all. Then a few days later it would be just fine. It's just water soaking up wires and the such... Underhood heat boils it away.

I'm not sure why having enough oil affects VTEC, on my Civic, it doesn't matter, but a friend of mine's Accord does exactly what you're talking about unless he fills it a little above the mark.
