drum brakes
Hello guys,
When I pull the emergency brakes, only one of the drums gets locked up. The other is still rolling. How do I fix that?
Also, when I press on the brake pedal (say while driving) do the rear drums lock up or are they only mechanical? I think I saw the break lines going there while I was looking at the rear bushings but I can't remember.
Thanks!

Re: (civic_driver)
take the drum off and at inside there is a sproket or gear type looking deal taht is threaded, turn that sproket a few times not to much but look at the threads and make sure that you are pushing out onto the shoes. be careful because when the brakes get hot they will expand and you can lock your brakes up when your doing regular driving or prematurely wear your shoes. when you use your ebrake it is designed to automatically ratched that sproket to keep it tight so it doesnt go loose but you may have to adjust periodically. maybe you have a cable to the drum issue...
