Default VTec probs

ok im havin probleams with my vtec i thought it was only the sylinoid but its still not working i repaced the vtec sylinoid checked the ecu and it still aint working my ecu isnt even throwing any codes what could it be??? can i fix it, or do i need to take it to the shop??? when it first happened i put it on a diognostic to see whats wrong cuz i had a check engine and they said the Vtec was messed up. now in my area for a mechanic shop they see a lot of hondas but they said in the years they have been there im the first person from there point of view to ever fry the vtec sylinoid. but i replaced it what else could it be im stuck.

yea i an still red line and i only have an intake and exhaust on the car im waiting to fix it before i put the rest on

humm..are you just emplying that because you don't hear it, it dosn't work? or is there like no power at all?.....becuse a stock GS-R vtec is bearly noticeable..vtec engagement is really low...at 4,400 RPM and the secondaries open at 5,750 RPM's ......what you hear are the secondaries.......

i dont really feel anything and dont hear anything but the intake and exhaust

yeah im pretty sure your vtec is working fine.......a GSR's vtec crossover is nothing like a B16 vtec crossover.....if you wanna hear your vtec....unbolt your exhaust from the axle back......gun it..you should hear the cross over pretty good.....i was driving around unbolted when my stock axle back was stolen...and thats when i really heard it!

i have a XSI complete swap with chipped ecu for no O2 and knock sensor in a 91 integra and my oil light continuosly flashes and vtec doesn't engage at the destin RPM(5,2)...........please help

do you have enough oil? it maybe low if your oil level is low then vtec will not engage.

do u gotta vtec controller? my friend had the same problem n his vtec controller was wired up all crazy n thats why it was messing... so if u have one check it

i have no vtec controller stock,but i was thinking maybe my oil pan might be messing things up since i've knocked it around a few times it's not cracked or nothing and yes i have plenty of oil it's right above the second dot on the dipstick....
