how hard is a block swap on a d16?

Default how hard is a block swap on a d16?

my engine is kncocking so i found a longblock for cheap and want to just put on the bottome end. how hard is it to just swap the blocks? i searched and found NOTHING

i was told the head cant knock.....can you explain how it would?

im pretty sure its rod knock cuz there was leak and there was NO OIL when i checked it

It's that hard just time consuming. Your gonna have to remove the motor & tranny put everything on to the new block and reinstall the motor.

yup...

1. undo all connectors
2.all hoses
3.fuel lines
4.electrical
5.yank motor out
6.dissasemble the motor
7.reasemble everything onto new block
8.put motor back in and connect everything

oh yea...make sure everything is down to torque specs
