Default GSR swapped Hatch, Cutting out when accelerating

Hi,
I just swapped a obd1 GSR into my 94 si. I am running a chipped p28 that is set up to not detect the knock sensor or the secondary butterfly's. I'm not throwing any codes. I just put a brand new o2 sensor in today as well.

Now here's the problem when I accelerate at full throttle (put the pedal to the floor from a stop) the car cuts out, and bogs down all the way untill i let off the gas and shift. When I start out at 1/4 throttle and just leave it there untill about 5500 rpms and get on it, the car does fun but cuts out just a little when i put it to the floor. Does anybody have any ideas what this could be?

Thanks for the help
-Keith

what chip are you using with that Ecu? custom or one of the generic ones? I had a problem similar to this before when I tried to run a generic Skunk2 chip.

The solution to my problem was pretty simple. I just overlooked it to soon. My plug wires weren't getting a good connection so i put on a new cap, rotor, and wires and it fixed it. Pretty pathetic that I overlooked that.

why would you have it chipped to not detect the secondary butterflies?

I had that exact same problem, and I replaced EVERYTHING and stumped like 40 different honda mechanics before I ended up just getting rid of the motor.. hopefully you have better luck than I did

oh yeah, replace plug wires and plugs. I had a similar problem about 2 years ago, and I thought, "I'll just replace my plugs." It fixed the problem, but the wires were actually the thing bad, and so the new plugs fouled out as well. Replaced plugs and wires, and that was all she wrote.

a p28 by defauld will not control the IAB's (or knock sensor). You can wire up an rpm activated switch if you want them with a p28, but not having them hooked up only affects the car's acceleration at low rpms. Top end doesn't change.
