I have a mini me turbo. Chrome tuned. Stock map sensor. When I get to 8-9 psi it feels like I'm hitting a wall, and it kicks me out of boost. I have ngk 3330 plugs gaped to .28, can anyone give me some ideas of what it would be.
Thanks alot,
Chris

Double/triple check everything. Boost cut on the EMS, charge pipe connections, vacuum connection (nothing blowing any hoses off, or backing them off the barbs at all).
Good luck,
Jason

Can there be a boost cut on the chrome. Everything has been check like 3 or 4 times and its fine. Any other ideas

it sounds like you are hitting boost cut. there are many plug ins available for crome... i think boost cut option is available so its a good possibility.

Okay thanks guys. I'll talk to the guy what tuned it b/c hes stumped on it too.
Who tuned it? Was it tuned with a wideband?
Crome Boost Cut will generally default to the value in the last boost column, in the case of a stock 1.7 bar Honda MAP sensor- 11.2 psi. Was the boost cut setting lowered by the tuner?

A local guy tuned it, well its a really good base map right now and all the afr's are fine. He just has to fine tune it. At 5 psi 9.5 and at 8 psi it was around 10.5. He doesn't even understand why its doing it.

If you mean 9.5:1 and 10.5:1 Air-Fuel ratio, and your tuner thinks that's fine, it's time to find someone else. I generally shoot for between 11.9 - 12.4:1 depending on load at that boost level. You could possibly see increased cylinder wear at that AFR, especially at 9.5:1.

If your saying that its tuned at 10.5:1 air fuel ratio at full throttle/boost...
I recommend you find another tuner

No I'm saying thats what the afr's r on the base map.Hes been having problems with his lab top so he haven't finished yet. I don't boost that often any ways. I could see it being too rich if I boosted all the time. So **** came up and I had to spend alot of money of other **** a few days ago, and my doctor won't let me go back to work. So I may have too hold off on the tuning for a few weeks. Plus when we drove around with the wideband on it, it was raining out side. So on a sunny day its prolly lean b/c its way hotter outside.
