Clean Vx or si?
Well I've been looking for an eg hatch for awhile now. I have found several but don't know which one would be a wiser decision. One is a vx hatch with no rust. Its all stock. Do vx engines have any potential? (probably would go turbo or swap)
Its going for around 3000. I have seen this car in person. Real clean interior.
The second is a si hatch with a b18b. It has rust, (I have only seen one picture.) I can't really tell how big. It appears to be about the size of a quarter or silver dollar. (the seller says that its very minimal)He wants 3500. This car is an hour and 45 min. away. Its all stock other than b18b.
I do know that Vx's are lighter than Si's.
Whats your opinion?

A vx only cause it is stock, and you can do everything for yourself. ALso there arent that many vx's around, and its also already a vtec motor, just the fuel ecno version.
I just have a thing with already-fixed up cars... I wouldn't ever get a car with work done to it already. I wanna do everything myself, specially if all they did was a swap. Which tells you they wanted the car just to beat the living crap out of it imo.

my advice: see if the b18b owner has all maint records and who he had swap in the motor. then go test drive it.. remember to take it to 80 and brake heavily, take corners hard and just give it an overall good beating (that's where you find the problems). If it drives perfectly, come back and offer him $2800 cash (have it in hand). Then take the $700 you saved and go get that rust fixed. The Si is heavy, but it's a ton of fun to drive (all the more fun with a well swapped b18b).

Rear disc and sunroof y0.
Well do what you want. But unless you're swapping motors right away, be warned, the Z1 is slow as ****. Combined with that tranny its slower than molasses.
