Default SC and Nitrous?

Would there be any benefiet to running the supercharger with nitrous? Or would running a higher shot of nitrousbe just as good if not better? I know I am going nitrous, but am looking into other things that would further improve teh setup. What do you guys think?

The only reason that I would get an SC would be to have some extra hp always on tap. I couldn't justify getting on instead of a turbo, though. If I autocrossed I probably could, but for street racing, turbo and nitrous win.

i wouldnt use any more than a 30 shot of nitrous on a supercharged car. the compression is already high, and if too much you can actually lose power.

How would you lose hp from higher compression?

Yea, I wast sure if there would be any benefiet of using both. It doesnt bother me that it wouldnt be very beneficial, just means I wont be spending 3k for the supercharger. I would like to get some kind of club up and going, so we can race our cars. Dont know how to get somthing like that going though. Have to keep my eyes open to see if I cant find anything goin on in my area. Once I get my DP kit, I think my urge to race is gonna get even more intense. This summer I can go to the track, but organized street racing is where alot of our racing will be done. Gotta find the spot though.

Got a question, does going from a roll help your ET's very much? I know this can help with some traction issues. If a beefed up muscle car wants to race, to give me a chance, I would get him to let me go from a rolling start.

Rolling starts are unrelated to ETs. Drag racing goes from a stand still.

Cool, I would assume that a rolling start would shave off some time from your ET's. I guess from the stand still is all that matters though. Go check out the Eclipse vs. Camaro race I just posted, its awsome.

Nitrous can be really beneficial to a supercharger system that does not have some sort of intercooler setup because the nitrous cools the charge. People with JRSC's that add a little dry shot have seen some real good gains.

yeah, that doesnt make any sense at all. you dont lose power from higher compression. although you might need to accomidate for it.

dotn waste time in getting a supercharger and nitrous....if you want some real power, just build your engine and go turbo...a turbo will give you alot more power compared to a supercharger...if you are so into getting more power...do it the right way,...do a research on superchargers and turbocharging and decide which one will give you the adequate power that you crave for...either way, you are gonna have to build your engine to accomodate whichever...but turbo=more power...thats just my opinion..do whatever suits you...

If you are autocrossing it will be better to get a supercharger..
If your drag racing go for the turbo nitrous setup....Nitrous and a supercharger need alot of attention...Sure it cools the charge but the nitrous itself exspands the compressed air of the charger... But if your using if for cooling purposes only then get a water to air cooler for the charger....

Well, I dont see why I would want to go Turbo if I was gonna go nitrous, couldnt I just up the shot snad use a progressive controller? I really would like to have a Turbo system. I am about 100% sure I am gonna get a DP Fogger kit. The problem with going Turbo is having to upgrade so many parts from the kit, and I dont know if I could use my turbo kit with a large shot of nitrous. How much would a custom turbo kit run me? I how would I go about getting one built for me? I would assume custom kits are less expensive, and I could start with better stuff so I wouldnt have to upgrade. Hope someone can answer some of this stuff for me.
