My car is having some issues right now.

My car would not go into gear this morning. I would press the clutch and try to put it in 1st and it wouldnt budge, I also tried 1,2,3,4,5 and R and it wouldnt budge. I left the car on for about five minutes and tried once again. I pushed down on the clutch the most I could and it got into 2nd and I drove around the block in 2nd and it wouldnt come out of second. I turned the car off and started it again and now the car will go into gear but not smoothly it would take some elbow grease to get it into gear. Once again I turned the car on and off and the car goes into gear with not problem but I still did not drive it today because I was scared it will leave me stranded. What could cause this problem and what should I look for?

 

can it go into gear while the engine is off??

 

most likely your clutch is gone!! replace ur clutch...I am about 90% sure because I fix many cars that had the same problem as u.

my clutch pedal squeaks any more help on this would be great.

 

did your shifter fork get bent?

 

sounds like clutch to me.

my clutch squeaks too but not having that problem

what causes em to get bent

 

my clutch also squeaks. I'm guessin its an indication that your clutch is going out. My buddy's car does the same thing.

 

Thats not your clutch sqeeking, its your clutch master cylinder.
