power lock wiring help plz
hey guys i have a 93 ex coupe that came with power locks but the idiot i bought the car from cut a whole bunch of wires to put in an alarm system. under my under-dash fuse box there are two wires not connect to anything which im guessing are to the power locks (green /w red and green /w white). i reattached the pins to the wires but i dont know where they go. does anyone know what harness i should pin these two wires into on the back of the fuse box? any help would be appreciated since i cant search bc that part of the site has been down for over a day. thanks
im not sure but i dont think so. it had an old viper alarm that was all broken but i removed all of the alarm parts(brain, backup batery, sensors etc.) and those two wires were just hanging there so i think the locks actually work and are just not wired up.
take a wire and touch it to ground and see if it unlocks or lock the doors. If it doesnt then the lock do not work. if the car has a factory anti theft system then those wire probly go to the anti theft brain. Was those wires hooked into the brain of the aftermarket alarm? One way to find out if it has factory security is to roll the windows down and open door...lock then close door....wait 30 seconds and reach in the window and manual unlock door then open
well the wires werent hooked up at all but he had the thing wired completly wrong and im pretty positive the car never had the factory anti-theft system. so if i didnt have that system wouldnt those wires be plugged into one of the clips that goes into the back of the under-dash fuse box?

The two wire colors you mentioned GRN/WHT and GRN/RED are in the schematic for the power locks but they go between the lock switch and the power door lock control unit which are both in the drivers door. The one wire that goes between the controller and the fuse box is WHT/GRN and it derives power from the No6 20a fuse. The only GRN/RED coming from the uder dash fuse box goes from the No24 15a fuse to the ECM, there are no GRN/WHT coming from it. This is right from the power distribution schemtic out of the factory service manual..
You can see schematics on the UK honda site but wire colors will be different on your car. But at least you can run through the tests on the proper terminals of the clips to see if there are any breaks in the wiring.

well thanks for the help but i have 2 wires that were obviously cut (green /w white and green /w red) and are tied together hanging right above the under-dash fuse box. all the other wires that are wrapped with them attach to plugs that are pluged into the top of the fuse box. so these two wires are not to my power locks?

hmm. well i ripped out all this other crap from the old alarm and reattached all the other wires so maybe it went to something on the alarm. thanks for the help anyways.
