got a dual bend short shifter from my buddy for practically free... dont know what kind it is... assuming its a POS ebay clone....

is there any REAL difference between this one, and lets say a skunk2?

The Skunk2 short shifter is a stonger material made of steel. the Ebay short shifter is made of aluminum which may break if you shift really hard but thats what I heard so I couldnt tell you off hand if thats true.

I've owned like 4 different ebay shifters in different cars. Its a peice of metal. The only one I shifted hard with though was my DA. Man, I had some hard shifts, really hard, btu it always held up, so.....I've had good experiences.

I have an ebay short shifter, works great. If you shift so hard you break your shifter, you're probably shifting too hard as it is

yea the s2 also has some weight to it allowing u to shift easier and also comes with bearings instead of bushings giving u longer life and smoother shifts as well as stiffer feedback now if that one comes with bearings then only differecne is weight and strength

strength is usually the biggest issue. would really suck to miss a shift and overrev like that. check for the welds, good ones are 1 piece, but if its welded, its probably not that great..

if you're using a deathgrip when you're shifting, then calm down.

or just buy a b&n or skunk2.
