short shifter difference?
Basically your getting what you pay for I believe. Ive heard horror stories about the cheap ones but then again Ive heard people have nothing but praise for them. I personally went with the Skunk2. I would suggest it any day.

one more thing, ive heard that a short shifter causes the user to shift to fast, thus causing damage to the synchros, is this true?
You shift as fast as you want to.
Yes, the first few shifts you pull will leave you surprised at how fast you're doing it- in fact, I found myself already in gear with the clutch pedal still on the floor when I first installed the short shifter.
You get used to the shorter throws pretty quickly, though. As long as you don't rush the shift, you can leave the synchros undamaged. I've had mine in for 10-20K miles in now, with no synchro damage.

I just installed mine yesterday. A DC sports. I love it. The throws are shorter but I don't find anything wrong with the shifting. I shift at the same speed as I did before and can't see how it will screw up the synchro's.
But like I said, I installed it yesterday so I'm not expert
