For All Those Who Have Bought Another R After The First One Being Stolen.........
......what have you learned and what are you doing different now? I love the ITR so much and this question has been nagging at me since yesterday's incident and hearing everyone's opinions!

Ken, love your car. I wish mines still looked like that. But after crackin my M3 fiberglass sideskirts in parking lots and a pole ramming me in the rear, my car is really boro now. hahaha
First off, sorry for the car. My first R was stolen in Manhattan 2.5 yrs ago. I didn't think I'd get another. I happened to get quite lucky and stumbled across a very lightly used unmodded one while visiting a Subaru/Porsche dealer. The car had only 9800 miles and a perfect service history. I put down the deposit on the spot and within a week, I owned it...or the bank did at least.
In terms of my current car, I am just more careful about it. I don't leave it parked in cities on the street. It is kept indoors. It sucks the cars are so sought after, but I really enjoy driving it. It seems like you did alot to protect yours and they still got it. If anyone wants it bad enough, they will take it...no matter how well it is protected.

u guys that have had your car stolen, i cant even phathom how you guys feel.
I know this isn't the answer you want (I did read the thread title), but if my R were stolen, I don't think I could bring myself to replace it. It's stressful enough worrying about having it stolen. If that actually happened, it would only make having another one more difficult. I'd like to have something a little lower profile. Hell, an M3 is lower profile than this damn car!
BTW, sorry to hear about yours...
