Default Valvetrain Opinions: Springs and Retainers

Well, it's time to throw some springs and retainers in my head and go back to the dyno. Just want to see what most of the 400+whp guys are running for valvetrain. My setup is a 81.5mm sleeved gsr, je's, eagles, sc61, 880cc injectors, jg victorx intake. I'm aiming for 350+ on pump right now but I know soon I'll wanna push it a lil higher to maybe 450-500whp. i don't see myself wanting/needing anymore right now for a DD turbo car (i'm being serious... no 800whp goals for me ). Just wondering what you guys making power would recommend for my setup. The most I plan to spin the motor to is 9000-9500. Any recommendations, testimonials and "i know someone who..." are welcome.

right now i'm looking at crower, rocket motorsports, rev, ferrea, and skank2. i wouldn't mind your opinions on these brands either.

Thanks folks.

we run ferrea full valvetrains in both of our race engines and have had no problems in over a year. i spun mine up to 12k a few times, and the race car see's 10k every pass.

that video scares me... 9000-9500 is fine for me. no need for 11k. that ****'s nuts.

well if it can take over 40 dyno runs at 11K then I would feel really safe at 9500..

no keep the revs. you guys have to remember that you should choose springs based on your desired needs. i have some pics of a destroyed cylinder head that even with all the chamber damage not one of the retains or springs broke.

That video is awesome! I love the way it sounds. It's strange how it seems to shoot between around 7000 to about 8400 rpms really fast, then slows down. Did anyone else see that?

SuperTechs here! Never had experience with the rest, but price and reliability it seems Supertech has a good rep.
