Default Stock GSR, 12lbs? good/bad?

Going to start to assemble my Stock GSR motor with my GT35R, Tial 44mm gate, PTE 750 intercooler.... all the goodies anyways this car will only be getting a street tune by Phiz as in december the block will be getting built anyway (sleeves and all the goodies) problem is my wastegate came with a .8 bar spring (12lbs) now assuming it actually opens and holds at 12lbs this is very very close to the limit of a GSR I would think. This car is my daily driver and I need it to last until the winter, but it will be being beat on and going to the track during the weekends. I was originally planning to run around 6-8psi for now but I already have a .8 bar spring and these springs are not the cheapest.

What do you guys think of this? Does anyone have a smaller spring to trade me with?

Kyle

it'll run fine on considering the motor is still in boostable conditions and that you get a good fuel management setup for it and get it tuned.

<------- 11 psi on a stock b18c1 right here daily driven.

hmm thats good to hear. Phiz will be tuning with Crome, but it will not get dyno tuned, just street tuned so whats why I am a little worried.

Any other opinions?

With a .8 bar spring should I run my stock MAP for now or use my GM 3 Bar?

I'm pretty sure that you have to use the gm map. Aren't stock map sensors only good up to like 10.9 or 11.9 (I forget as I just said forget it and got an aem 3.5 bar map sensor)?? A little bit of creep will end your fun and give you a CEL. I honestly am curious why you would want to tempt fate. If it's your daily driver and your unsure whether it will hold up to a certain hp, I wouldn't do it. It really sux to have your only car take a ****. Imho, I say cease and dessist all upgrades and save for a beater. Use the beater for dd and beat the **** outta the turbo one. It's better than taking the bus.
