Short Shifter or Not?

Default Short Shifter or Not?

I have heard from a number of people that short shifters kill honda tranny's...is this true or not? i have been running a stock shifter in my CRX since i have heard nothing but bad things about short shifters in honda's/acura's so im asking you guys for your opinion/knowledge

Ive never had a problem with my ebay short shifter. It grinds second and third if im pushing it but most honda's grind third anyway. So I don't worry about it.

The shifter doesn't have anything to do with the transmission going bad. It all depends on how people drive their car. If you're cramming gears everytime you shift, then yea you're gonna f*ck up your syncro gears. However, if you go out and just drive your car normally and only get on it every now and then, then no they are not gonna mess up.
