Auto B18B weaker than JDM B18B?
Hey guys I just purchased a JDM B18B that had an auto tranny on it. I was wondering if the cams were of a different profile than that of a MT. I know that on the JDM B16s there is a difference.
I just want to know from someone who knows from experience or out of solid research.

yes there is a diffrence in hp im not 100% sure but its like 10 or so hp from what ive been told. my friend went 11.8 on a stock ls motor with auto cams in his hatch. (turbo of course) but he said there is a diffrence in hp in the 10- 15 hp range.
from all of the threads that i've seen on here, it seems that the B16 is the one with different cams. Haven't heard much about the LS though

Hey I've just checked delray acura automatives site. And Automatic and Manual cams out of a 97 LS are the same part number. I don't know, what do you guys think about this?

oooh yeah, okay. I get what you're saying now. Yes, it's true that the older LS motors are weaker than the newer ones. 90-91 B18A1's are rated at 130hp/124tq. nice vid
