Is an Auto and Manual B18B the same thing?
Hey guys. I just bought a JDM b18b. I was wondering if they have the same amount of power, same rev limit, etc. I don't know why I didn't research it before, but I just found out the JDM b16's that are auto are weaker...
Anyways. Aside from the tranny, what other differences will the auto have from the manual? (vacuum lines?)

If they have different cams, then they do not have the same specs.

Re: (pdiggitydogg)
the specs are the same. meaning bore stroke, flow yada yada yada. the only difference is the cam profiles, the auto cams are slightly different to pair well with the auto transmission. so they are basically the exact same enigne.

we are talking on the b16 - but as for the b18b engines i have seen both cam profiles/motors they are rated the same exact **** give or take the hp or two for differances of motors period even in stock oem spec

a civic (for example) w/an auto may be rated lower than a manual of the same trim and engine purely because of the ecu. an automatic ecu is probably going to be tuned differently than a manual bc of the transmission (obviously).
