I have a EG hatch with a B16A swap up until a few days ago it was staying cool like it should unless i did an excesive long top end run. And i was fine with that. but in the last couple of days i have been driving to and from nashville everyday and it has been getting really hot sitting in traffic. when i get moving it does not cool back down it stays a little past 3/4 hot the whole way home. if i turn the heater on it does nothing for it. tonight i changed out the thermostat and pressure cap and put all new fluid through out the block and the radiator. please help any ideas

Make sure your fan is turning on. Check for leakage around your waterpump. I would bleed the system as well just to make sure.

 

Are you running the stock radiator? They're tiny. I got the all-aluminum ebay model, great fit and finish. Engine runs under half in Texas heat wave.

 

no leaks and fan is kicking on it is the stock radiator but it there anything else that i can do for the time being until i get my new radiator

 

omg the stock radiator does the job unless ur racing for lyk 5 hours reving to 9k rpms the stock radiator does just fine make sure u don' have no hoses leakin or leakin from the water pump worse case scenario look into ur oil and make sure theres no water gettin there and if there is u need a a new headgaskit
