so my speedometer went out bout 4 weeks ago, when i had this massive electrical problem in my car. after the fix, everythin worked except for the speedometer inside the gauge cluster. so i was wonderin wat i need to do in order to fix the problem. also, is it possible to just replace the speedometer off an LS,GS,RS instead of the whole cluster?? cuz GSR clusters are expensive n hard to find.. (i have a 92 GSR)

 

damn thats a good ? are you sure that the problem is in the cluster. are you sure its not in the wiring that plugs into the back of the cluster. and yea its going to be hard to find a new cluster for a 92 gsr

Then we'd be able to tell if its your speed sensor.

 

you can take out just the speedo. a guy on here did it and wrote up a pretty good how-to on rolling back the odometer, or forward, in case you got a new cluster. here's the link. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=837111 there's a picture of just the speedometer.

 

what was the electrical problem cause it could have burned up some of the electronics in the cluster?
