Only difference I know off hand is the oil pump, difference being that a obd 2 gsr oil pump has the alum. casting to support a ckp (crank position) sensor. You will need that if you run a obd 2 ecu. Other then that I dont believe there is a diff.

is there a way where i can run a obd1 oil pump and eliminate the crank sensor? Or else just remove the crank sensor and still run the obd2 oil pump, since the motor will be going into a 92-95 hatch?

I have a OB2 GS-R block in my 94 Si. If you put a new oil pump on just order one for a OBD1 GS-R, or you could just leave the sensor unplugged. If you do change oil pumps know that the bottom timing covers are different also. You need the timing cover for which ever oil pump you use. I didnt know this and ordered a oil pump for a OBD1 car so now I have no bottom timing cover. I couldnt find a OBD1 timing cover. Anyway hope this helps and GOOD LUCK
