Default Plastic won't fit after GSR oil pump upgrade :(

I've got a B18A1 that's been sleeved, pistons, rods, crank etc. I decided to use a GSR oil pump because it's supposed to be better than the one for the engine. Now I've assembled the entire shortblock and found that the plastic for the front no longer fits. Can anyone tell me which pieces I should be using?

You bought a obd2 pump (96 & up).The obd1 would have fit your plastic.

you have to make sure you get the correct obd1 or obd2 cover for the obd1 or obd2 pump, the obd1 has the crank sensor in the distributor the obd2 has the crank sensor at the crank=on the oil pump so the obd2 cover has to accomodate for the sensor, you probably bought a late model (obd2) oil pump instead of a obd1. and here is a VERY INTERESTING thing i found, i've heard the oil pumps are the same after a certain year not sure if it is true BUT check this out, at honda the GSR and the LS pump cost the same EXACT amount to the penny, the TYPE R pump is roughly 50 dollars CHEAPER. i went with the type r on my LS/VTEC

Hrm. Seems like I got the wrong part and installed it. Paid $200CAD for it and with RTV all over it the part is not returnable. I did not see and still can't see any spot on the oil pump for a CAS. Can I fix this problem by just purchasing the lower timing belt cover from a CR-V/Civic or GSR? I specced a '98 part because I thought the front was the same on all of them I was told that the ITR pump was the same part number and I didn't think there was an OBD1 ITR...

Customer's engine - $10k build. Can't play it with hacked up ****. I just didn't want to have to tear the front down again for the oil pump. That means I throw $200 on the shelf, wait a few days for the other oil pump to come in, get a new o-ring, oil pan gasket etc. If I can get a $50 piece of plastic that fixes the problem I'd like to do that instead. Then too I have a spare plastic cover that will help out the next engine I'm building (his is broken).

Acura lists the '94 as 11810-pr3-010 for the cover and 11810-p72-a00 for the '98.The cover lists for $49.This should take care of your problem.

Thanks a million guys. NJIN, your partnumber was very useful as I actually ended up getting it from Honda as it fits the CRV. The engine is almost finished now...
