you have a LS turbo honda.. and you dont know how to change the oil on your own engine? do yourself a favor and dont do it... take it somewhere... preferably to someone who KNOWS what they are doing...

IF YOU MUST do it yourself, use a OEM honda filter from the year of block you have... in all reality, its the same damn filter on every car besides the S2000 the 87 and lower accords, and the insights. so i dont think you have a high chance at screwing that up. better search for the recommended oil viscosity tho, try the forced induction section, or the seach button

Hey you gotta start somewhere...its just a bit if a strange start.

Anyways the number one newbie oil filter change screw up would have to be not checking the old oil filter to make sure the rubber gasket is not still on the block.

1. You can't check the oil with the car running.

2. Start the car after you change the oil.

3. While you are under there, look for any signs of leaks, Check your cv boots.

4. Do not use a wrench to tighten the filter.

use a new washer when you put on the drain bolt-don't tighten it super tight cause you'll end up strippin' the bolt or the oil pan. HAND tight the new oil filter.
