Default STP products

I wana know if the STP products r safe, like there Fuel injector and carborator cleaner. And other fuel treatments. Thanks

i don't like stp products cause they're stuff is water based which can cause gum up even more after the "cleaning".
I usually use valvoline. But if you are using 91 octane or higher fuel then you shouldn't need to worry about that.

BBP makes a good point, water based products are potentially dangerous as if they sit for any extended period of time the water and whatever other "cleaning" agents they use will seperate, and cause sludge...I try to steer away from any of these additives, keep your maintenance in check and use premium gasoline...and don't let some schmuck tell you midgrade is fine in a car with 12+:1 compression, nevermind the 9k revs.....
