f.y.i. fuel injector cleaner solution.. "SEAFOAM"
my father-in-law works for San Diego water district, and they use this stuff called SEAFOAM. they use it to strip off carbon deposits/buildup on water pumps. it can also be used on engines safely. . i used a whole can in my delsol and it runs sweet.. however, your gas tank has to be atleast 3/4 full.. "the cup is half-full" anyhow, i just thought id chime in some 'daily-driver' advice..

I'd like to see more scientific proof that that **** works other than"it runs sweet" - I have never nor will I ever run injector cleaner in a Honda.
I have heard good things from Honda techs about BG MOA products, but that's about it.

BG has really good projects, honda also has a "top end cleaner",and its in a honda bottle, check the dealer if they still sell it. We would use that all the time for when i was a tech,if a car was running rough that would clear it right up.But the stuff will eat your nose off if you catch a wiff of it.

"sciantific " how about spellcheck.. anyhow, if they use it to remove carbon deposits, like those that build up on lets say-water pumps-after combustion. then it works on the fuel injectors on your car.. you see, im not a chemical engineer, he is. if the city of san diego uses it to clean thier water pumps, which are petroleum powered motors (like your avg. honda motor), then im sure it is safe with your feul injectors. what "sciantific " proof do you need all-mighty-moderator.. so i was a little short on words other than "drives sweet". Look, im just trying to give some helpful advice, im a "noobie" here, but i know what im saying. I write/edit auto manuals for a living.. if thats not enough "sciantific " proof for you, then im sorry.. BUMP

Shows how much you really know dumbass. Try calcification, not carbon Mr. ******* Wizard.
I hope you were not saying that a Honda waterpump collects carbon deposits.
By the way, when you "write manuals" or whatever the hell you claim to do, do you just say "this part is sweet" and then finish off the brilliance with a period?
I expect more from an automotive journalist than "it drives so sweet" or whatever 7th grade banter you come up with.
P.S - thanks for the spell check. I'd rather mistype one word and be off one letter than be completely off base with my discertation of how/why a product works.

hey i've used seafoam in my motor before....well, i added through my intake and WOW...I LOVED THE WHITE CLOUD IT LEFT BEHIND!! I added half a bottle and let it sit in my intake manifold/motor for about 5 min...then started it up and drove around the block. all i could see was a HUGE cloud of white smoke!! I was laughing my *** off watching in the rear view mirror as my neighbors' naughthy kids were coughing their asses off!! (they shot my car with a BB gun!!!)

why not?
why not?
Once the 'cleaner' goes through the injectors , it breaks down the bonds of the carbon 'resin' , which along with the mystery chemicals, goes into your combustion chamber. Whether its damaging to your rings and o2 sensor or not, theres something inherintly wrong with intentionally pouring a substance in your car to make it smoke for ten minutes.
If you fear your injectors are indeed clogged, use the search function here to locate an injector cleaning service. Not only do they replace the o rings and any damaged portion of the injector, they do it in a timely manner and should fit into even the most frugal customers budget. Use the shiny 'search' button on the upper right to look for injector cleaning services (hint: Forced induction forum)
