Front main seal replacement with b18aCrx
So the front main seal on the engine I just completely rebuilt is leaking oil like crazy. The helm manual says that the front main seal can be replaced without removing the engine but since I have a b18a in my crx the crank pulley wont be able to come out. My dad and I really don't wanna pull the engine out again so we thought maybe we could just undo the drivers side hasport mount and somehow push the engine down low enough for us to remove everything. There are a couple problems with that idea though and I need honda-tech's opinion.
Do you guys think it's possible to lower the engine enough just by removing the drivers side mount? Also, do you guys think it's neccessary to take off the axles in order to drop the engine this low? I was thinking that we should remove both the passenger and drivers side axles which might allow us to lower it enough to remove the crank pulley and all that good stuff.
Any help, ideas, or opinions are welcome. thx.
