i rebuilt a lot of b series engine but never messed much with the k20s...his is out of an 02 rsx

im looking for a litle advice from someone who has messsed with the k20s a little more then me...advice such as stuff to look out for and the things that you should replace on a k20 that u wouldnt on a b series...(such as timing chain tensioner, ect.)..

also will i need any special tools other then typical engine tools?..im aware that the crank pulley can b a b**** to get off without that special tool that holds the crank pulley so where can i get that tool?

rebuilding an engine is rebuilding an engine. how many miles on it and what's the reason for the rebuild?

you dont have to mess with the subframe if you're pulling the engine from up top.

only reason to unbolt the subframe is if you're dropping the motor out the bottom. absolutely no reason to mess with it otherwise. just unbolt the mounts, pop the axles out, etc.

The subframe removal is easy. Just sounds scary.

the subframe is easy. although going up and out prolly is best if you dont have a lift. i know on EP3's you have to pop the front bumper off, radiator bracket, radiator, and a few other things but its not bad coming out.
