main relay
can anybody tell me how the main relay works. what it does, how it gets its power...
i know its a dual relay
ive heard it powers up the ecu first. once the ecu is powered up it powers up the fuel pump. i have a problem somewhere in there. my ecu powers up but the second relay kicks on whenever it wants, then everything is fine.

well kida found the problem. i took the ecu out of my friends integra, hooked it up in my car and the fuel pump turns on every time i turn the key. so whatever sends the ground to the main relay probably has cracked solder. does anybody know exactly what on the ecu board sends ground to the main relay to kick on the fuel...
Ok from what I see from my helms manual, there is a blue and white wire that goes into the main relay....when it has power it engergizes a coil and connects the broken link that powers up the fuel pump which is a black yellow in and a yellow green to the fuel pump. there is nothing that actually goes through the ecu that powers the fuel pump. Hope this helps
