Sizing my turbo for GSR: t3 super 60 or t3/t04e .46 trim?
Any opinion? Been researching the compressor map, but the compressor map for t3 super 60 does not have label on their efficiency curves. This is on B18C1 stock.
What are their spool time? efficient rpm ranges?

i have a t3 super 60 on my b16 and its perfect. for a 1.8L gsr i might go with like a t3/t04e 57 trim or this:

Should I choose 0.48 OR 0.63 A/R for the turbine housing on t3/t04e ?
I suppose 0.48 has less lag?

i would go w/ the .63 ar...the .48 is less lag but less top end pull then the .63 ar...its all depend on what you want...the .63 ar is not to bad of a lag

Do you currently use .63 ar? when do you reach full boost for, say 7 psi?

id go with a .48. everyone has different opinions. i have a friend with a .63 in his gsr and its so big you dont even fill the kick of being pulled back into the seat because his starts spooling at like 5500 and reaches full boost at 6500. having a larger turbo isnt always everything. you might have huge power from 6000-8200 but while you wait for it to come one other cars are already infront of you. id go with a t3/t4 .48/.60 with a 57 trim. but thats just me. youll have to read what others think

i use to have the sc61....and i get full 18lb boost @ 5k rpm and it'll pull all the way to 8600 rpm...my boost gauge read 7lb @ 3800 rpm...the .48 ar is only good if you want fast mid-range pull but the .63 will give you mid to top end pull....on my sc61 it pull hard as ****....

This is the calculation I did with T3 60 (not super 60) trim
So t3 is not too small as long as it's not 40 trim.
Any comments?

Lag just isn't with the turbo.. The size of your exhaust has a play, the compression of the motor has a play. and I think its the wheel that effects the lag.
I have a stock GSR with a super 60 and I love it. Full boost at 3800 RPM's! I boost 10 lbs all day on stock internals and am putting down 240 to the wheels. It all depens on how much you want to build up the stock block, but for a stock GSR I like the Super 60. My 2 cents...Matt
Depends on your power goals. With a FR mani/3" DP and exhaust my friends GSR spools a t3/to43 60 trim .63ar at 4700k...pulls nicely to redline. i suggest going with a 57 trim or the 60 trim i just mentioned...both in a .63 a/r. the only time ull feel the lag is from a stop...besides we have fwd cars...lag is good
my customers car runs a T3 super 60 with 48 turbine housing.
7 psi it makes 230-240 WHP with a conservative tune on a bone stock GSR with stock GSR exhuast and 440CC injectors. runs a 13.5 on streeet tires daily driven no problem. its really about what you want for your car. for him its just a quick daily driver with fast spool. personally i had this turbo on my b20 and made 262 whp 254 torque and that thing was a monster !

there's a pretty noticable difference between the .48 and the .63. my .48a/r t3/to4e just blew, so i got a new .63a/r with a .57trim. and it just hulls. i get full boost a little bit later, but the butt dyno says the .63 wins.
my cousin was telling me to run a t3 for motor efficency and lasting. but maybe he just wants me slower. lol
go with a .63 so you wont need to upgrade in a turbo later.
