00 radio in eg
i want to hook up a 2000 civic radio in my eg civic, but i keep hearing that the wiring harnesses are different, has anyone done this before, can someone help me out ?
Best buy should be able to do it. I have had a few friends that have worked there and they have all been great at that stuff. Not that hooking up a radio is too difficult, but it's not like the aftermarket radios come "pre-wired" or anything. Any knowledgable stereo installer should be able to do it for you.

yeah the wire harness are different ,you have to replace the plug because the eg plug is a skiny square and the ek plug is a fat square.my suggestion would be to replace the plug and then check for the wire colors to see if they kinda match the car if they dont your gonna have to get the manual of the ek or just take it to an auto electric shop...GOOD LUCK
you'll need a p/n 70-1720 and a p/n 71-7121 available from metra. retail for about $15.00 each but cost is about $5.00 or less find them online or at a local sgop just don't get ripped a new one. just put them together wire for wire , color for color. good luck!
