Default Building a log style turbo manifold...Quick question?

I'm building a log style turbo exhaust manifold and I'm kind of stuck on how to make one part of it. I'd like to build a base underneath the turbo flange like the one in this picture.

I'm sure there are a couple different ways, if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated!

Also whats the best way to go about notching the base once its built in order to fit onto the pipe fittings properly?

Thanks!

For notching the base, I've used square tubing with a hole saw to the size of the pipe. then band saw to the depth you need it after shaped. I've used the end mill to get real accurate if there are angles involved, but a hole saw shoud do you fine. That may help your other question... from what I can tell from your pic.

Yeah, those are easy enough to make with a grinder, boring bar, lil' jigger or otherwise. Just a piece or rectangular tubing with round notches cut out.

An angle grinder should make a quick job outta that.

Thanks for the help guys

One more quick question, do you usually use 90's and T's with a 2.25" radius or a 1.5" radius? I believe 2.25" is the way to go...just want to double check.

Thanks!
