Default Question regarding EK exhaust...

I have a 97 Civic HB, and as all EK owners know, the stock exhaust runs over the rear control arm.

I got an Apexi WSII canister from a friend of mine, and I was planning on running a 2.5 inch pipe header back, but to use the canister i think the exhaust might have to be ran underneath the control arm.

Is this a problem? Thanks in advanced for the info...

A canister just fits under the bumper without interfering with the LCA, but with a 2.25in exhaust my short throw shifter sometimes hits the pipe..

You shouldn't have to route it under the LCA. My friend has it on his EK, and it goes over the LCA. You don't want an exhaust that goes under the LCA if you have a low car.

Well the canister isnt for an EK, thats the problem. The position of the inlet on the canister is why I think the exhaust is going to have to be run underneath the control arm.

Thanks for the help.

*EDIT* So like I asked, is there any real problem with routing it under the control arm other then the risk of it scrubbing? My car isnt that low, its on S-tech's.

My canister exhaust runs over the LCA and my car is pretty slammed also.

I was about to get the RSR GTII exhaust that runs strait under the gas tank. But I thought it would hit the ground, plus this exhaust sounds real throaty, not raspy, but deep.

Niiiice EK man, What kind of exhaust is that?

If i could find an RSR ex mag canister by itself or somethin similiar i could sell the WSII an buy it, any idea if they sell just a universal style muffler?

I'm not 100% sure of this but the prelude muffler might be too big to fit on a EK. If it does fit the tip would probably stick out past the bumper quite a bit.

Try measuring the lenght of the canister on the world sport and see if it's about the same length of the one you currently have on your car.

OK true, i took some ghetto measurements before hand, and it seemed like it would fit, but I think your right. The tip would prolly stick out way far.

So any1 know where I can get greddy, apexi, or ex mag canisters? I dont need the whole cat back, and I want something quiet. Thanks alot guys.
