205/55/15 on 95ex rims?
I got a free set of 205/55/15 tires and am wondering if they will fit well on my ex rims. I know they will mount easily, but I'm wondering if sidewall flex will occur due to the narrow rim width. If any one has this setup, or any rim/tire combo of 15X5.5-205/55/15, let me know how its working out for you. Is this tire size better than the stock size, or should I leave it alone. Thanks for all the input. BTW, I searched first and couldn't find anything.
I needed new tires anyway, and these came along, so I figured I would give them a shot. I just don't want to hurt the performance. I remember putting 225/50/16's on a rim that was too narrow, and the handling blew. I don't want to repeat that mistake.
I run 205/60r15 Toyo's on my '97SE 15x6" rims and have had excellent results. 62000 miles and they still have the injection nubs on the tread sholder. No scrubbing, tire noise and they track well.

Sweet, should be pretty fun w/ my suspension setup. If you call the tire stores, you would think it's the end of the world to vary from the stock size. I didn't think it would be a problem. Thanks for all the help.
Heck, what do you expect? Half those guys behind the counter at the local tire emporium are casual hires who know nothing other than the lecture they got from the boss about not deviating from the "book"

I know, yesterday I had to get a tire for my girlfiends Accord and had an extra 205/60 that was pretty new. I asked them to put it on and I got this blank stare like he couldn't even imagine going from a 195 to a 205. He said it would throw the handling way off and make the car unsafe. I said I have plus sized before and he didn't even know what plus sizing was. Those guys are robots.
