new set of rims/tires
Hi, Im getting rota slipstream 15"s, they come with P205/50R-15 kumho tires. is this ok? will this affect my speedometer? Does anyone know the tire specs for the stock 15" Si rims? also what offset are they? thanks.
(this applies to the stock 7 spoke rims for the 99-00 Si)

Re: new set of rims/tires (livindalifeofVTEC)
stock tire size is usually 195/55R15
to calculate your overall diameter you multiply the first number (195) times the sidewall aspect ratio (55) but change (55) to (.55) then times by (2) "always times is by 2" then divide that by (25.4) "at this point you should have (8.444) after that you add the size of the rim to complete the formula (15)
ex.1: 195/55r15.... 195 x .55 x 2 (then divide by 25.4) + 15 =23.44
ex.2: 205/50r15.... 205 x .50 x 2 (then divide by 25.4) + 15 =23.07
ex.3: 215/50r15.... 215 x .50 x 2 (then divide by 25.4) + 15 =23.46
i recommend a 215/50R15 for your vehicle
normally you want to stay within .2 of your original tire size for ABS and speedo readings.

I recommedn a 205 because some 215 can rub depending on rim offset.
depends onj what tires you want anyhow, not all tires are offered in all sizes y aknow?
I use 205/50r15 on my teg after a few diffeent choices, and they are my favorite size.

hmm.. i see. I think the rota slipstream's offset is like 40mm. Anyone have slipstreams on their 2000 civic coupe? I think i'll go with the 205/50r15's because thats what the package comes with. thanks for the input.

Re: new set of rims/tires (DragIIcivic)
the ROTAs on this Type R from this thread (https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=74549)... they look really small, like the tire has a fatty sidewall. Would they look like that on my car? i was leaning more toward a look like on this civic from this thread (https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=74221).
hmm.. now that i think about it, they look about the same. nevermind. heh.
