Default I need help PLEASE!!!!!!!

My hood is stuck and won't open. Does anyone have any ideas on how to open it? The cable is not broken from what I can tell, I tried to pull it with pliers but it did not work. Any help would be appreciated greatly before I have to take it to the dealer.

once it comes off once...
(if its like mine)...the cable keeps falling off the mechanism
it will come off again...
and i had to use the same method each time...
so i ziptied the cable towards the nose as close to where it attaches to mechanism as possible...
you could also jbweld it to the mechanism...etc...
**** all the haters

My cable doesnt work well either, have u checked the lever for opening ur hood. Mine is extremely hard to open even with pliers, i just usually pull the cord as hard as i can and it persuades it to move... if it is totally binding up on u..i would look at how the cable is running underneath ur car and see if it is pulled off and getting slack in the line...if it is, well, sorry i really dont know what to do after that....o well good luck
