Default Fabricating Harness Bar for a del sol

Does anyone know if a company makes a harness bar for a del sol? Is there anyone out there that has fabricated one for their del sol? possibly any pics available? My buddy and I have the tools to make one, but before we start cutting and welding i'd like to get some ideas from some members. Thanks

I designed and produced the "happy" bar mentioned in that thread. Can't seem to find my good pictures, I'll keep looking.

my solution:behind the cage was a brace welded from side to side to attach the harness to. trying to find a pic of the brace itself...

not so much the cage, but the brace was what did wonders.........I braced it from left to right and on that brace, I made 3 attachments downwards at an angle of 45 degrees towards the front and down, so it could also be covered up with panels since the rear sections of plastic no longer fitted.

i see.. im trying to find a solution to the body flex.. i know a cage its the solution but im 6 feet tall and i have a hard time gettin in and out of the car as is.. plus i dont want to be hittin myself everytime while drivin with the damn cage.. so i will try to find some points where i can brace the body.. or the cabin since thats the weakest flex point

stitch weld the frame---- that will fix the body flex. but it requires alot of work and a couple of months with a shell of a car on 2 engine stands!

that is the ultimate solution combined with a roll cage.

bump to keep it up because this is the reason i am on here tonight. I have a benen harness bar but i would not put a harness on it. More of a stiffening bar but does not really do much there either. I was thinking of a rear cage like the one posted but have bars run from there to the front with a cage under the dash, along the (c?) piller near the floor on the sides below the door line then welding in tie plates from the bar to the c pillers. then fill the frame with the structural foam. good luck
