Hey guys I'm picking up a JDM B18B next week. This is my project car (92 si) and I kind of told myself that I wont cut any corners. I know it'll take time to do things the right way but I think it'll be worth it in the end.

Anyways. I'm putting a B18B into my car next week but I don't have any mounts. I can either just find some stock mounts and use those or I can spend some money on getting a real mount kit. What exactly are the advantages to getting a mount kit? I've been told that it eliminates some wheel-hop, but is the difference significant? If I do get a kit, I just want something that isn't too extreme, because this is going to be my daily driver. I also want something that looks cleaner thant he stock mounts.

What do you guys think I should do? Just save money and go with stock mounts or get a decent mount kit? and which kit? I really dont want to spend more than 200 so I think those expensive hasport kits are out of the picture.

Last question. For those with mount kits, please tell me about the Pro's and Con's.

Oh and I plan to boost in the near future

 

Most good mount kits come as poly mounts not just rubber. That in itself is a great reason to use them.
