I just bought a car that I dont know too much about, but one thing I do know is that I have to get the idle fixed. I have a 62mm bbk throttle body. ls/vtec with a b18b block and 99-00 si head. the owner told me that I needed an idle control valve, but what valve do I need?

 

also known as IACV, its located behind the intake manifold.

even though I have a bbk throttle body its still in the same spot?

 

yes, this sits on the intake manifold not the TB so it doesnt matter. Go take a look at it and you'll see it

Before replacing, i'd try to fix it..clean the screens on it with brake parts cleaner.. Sometimes this fixes the problem.
