Default I need more help!!!

Yes even more. I noticed that I cant run coolant in my car. It has to be water. Now being that Im in the Northeast and it goes down below freezing at night and sometimes during the day, what do you expect me to do? I dont know what the eathe ris liek down in VA at night, but I think that being Feb... I think its a bad odd and bad choice to put water in in case it freezes. Any ideas? Or is this somethign that can slid by the wayside for winter events? Please I have 3 days to figure it out and about 6 hours befor emy car goes in. Any help would be great!! Thanks!!

A 50/50 water/ethylene glycol mix works the best.

Cobra - Who is also stumped as to why you can't use anti-freeze. Are you concerned your gerbil will drink it and die?

It said on the tech sheet, no coolant present.. I took that as at all. NONE, NADA, NOTHING. But if you guys say so.. Then let it be... Just adding some water wetter.

Um, why can't you run any coolant in your motor? I can tell you that freezing water is bad. GM 4.3 liter V6s, popular in boats, are notorious for being difficult to winterize since they "hide" water in bizarre places which freezes and cracks the block. A long ways back when we had one, it put a nice fat crack right in the lifter valley. Not cool. Cracked motor=bad

[Edit- it becomes clear now... just a misinterpretation of the regulations ]

No coolant present in the engine bay or on the ground... i.e. it has to be all contained in the radiator/hoses/engine block.... of course you can use coolant in your engine, silly rabbit... it just cant be leaking.

Ryan - who's saturn has leaked on the autocross course before....

Coolant = messy, very slippery, and hard to clean up if you blow something on track and leak coolant.
