Default Wheel bearing? Or something worse..

Hi all.
Just came back from a drive in the car (97 JDM ITR)
On de-acceleration mostly, but not always, the wheel has been jerking and pulling to the left hand side. It actually feels like the wheel is about to fall off. I've checked that the wheel nuts are all tight. I know the wheel bearing is worn on this side, have been meaning to get it done. Does this mean that it's fully worn or is there something else causing this?
Thanks in advance.

When you say deceleration are you hitting the brakes or just letting the car coast?

just letting the car coast. Could it maybe have something to do with the drives?

I would think if it were a wheel bearing it would happen any time the car was in motion. Does it happen all the time or only in deceleration?

Happening all the time...But the jerking is pretty violent on deceleration. On driving normaly its just a twitch..

You haven't hit any pot holes or a curb lately? Just curious.

yup, a while back. Bent the lower suspension arm. Have had it replaced though. My mechanic said everything else was fine though. Could it be the tracking arm or trackrod arm?

No bumping...

Have you jacked the car up and checked? Check by placing each hand on the tire and pull/push at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions. If you feel movement or a clicking then it's definitely time to replace.

as for replacing: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=720159

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Bbasso &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Check by placing each hand on the tire and pull/push at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions. Or it means that your steering works.

Check by pushing/pulling at the 12 and 6 o'**** position, takes steering slop out of the picture.

12+6 movement usually means wheel bearing

9+3 movement usually means steering rack on its way out

To clear you guys up.

I had a similar problem on really bald tires coming down from SF to LA. On acceleration, whether I was at partial throttle or full throttle, car would veer to the right, and letting go of the throttle car would veer towards the left. Unnerving driving a 400 mile trip like that on the 5. My CV boot is leaking grease, and my driver side wheel clicks side to side, up and down. Clicks on accel/decel too. Prolly need to replace wheel bearings and axles. Anybody know how much that would cost?

Is there a grinding noise associated with this problem? If so, also the axle/CV boot could pose a problem. If not, then it's mostlikely the wheel bearing.

DIY = free

the problem sounds like a bad bushing or motor mounts.
