Default gsr ecu ? for del sol

hey
i am getting a gsr swap for my del sol and i have a single over head cam vtec right now with the p28 in it and i was wondering if i should keep that ecu or use the one that is gonna come with it

it really depends on what you want to do with your car in the future.

I say keep the P72 for your swap and keep the p28 off to the side. later, you can use the P28 to chip and tune your engine if you decide to build it.

VTEC: 4,900 rpm
Rev limit: 7,200 rpm

<U>P72</U>
VTEC: 4,400
Secondaries: 5,700
Rev limit: 8,100 rpm (fuel cut off: 8,200 rpm)

agreed! the p72 will help if you plan on running the stock gsr intake manifold for a while.

it doesnt matter what the p28 vtec/rev is at
you wont be able to use it without chipping it with a dohc map base

When I first got my swap, the idiots gave me a P72. It must have been OBD1 since we had to do the OBD2-OBD1 conversion .

i got a del sol with a gs-r swap too......

if u gonna keep the stock gsr manifold keep the p72......i hate dual stage vtec by the way

i say get a skunk2 intake manifold........p28....and tune it and ****
