need Vacuum source for TurboSmart wastegate
where should I run the vacum line from waste gate to???? my turbo is a garrett t3/t04e and has no vacum barb fitting. should it be T'd to a manifold vacum source? help.

it really only has to see boost, not vacume but you can "t" it into something off the intake mani such as the FPR line or whatever.
what i have always done is drilled and tapped a hole into the intercooler piping somewhere after the intercooler itself where you can easily access it. thread a barbed nipple into it and there you go.

drill and tap the snail with a 21/64ths bit, then tap it to 1/8 npt and put a barb in it. it is the best way to get a boost signal. you may have creep issues if you dont run it that way. thats the way i do all my installs.
If you dont feel like drilling into the compressor, you could tap into the brake booster line. Either use a 3 way barbed fitting or stick a GE vacuum manifold in there and run all your all your boost/vacuum lines to the block.
EDIT: another thing you could do is get this thing called a quicktap. Check out here on atpturbo.com

I just put a hose barb fitting on my charge pipe right after the turbo, drilled a hole in the charge pipe just big enough for the fitting to go through, pushed the hose barb through the hole from the inside with a little JB Weld around the base of it to seal it.
