Default need some info plzzz

well ill be getting a type r engine from hmoi know they deal with jdm stuff but how would i know when my engine is jdm an has 200hp with a port an polish head from japan how do i tell. any pics or anyone tht has gotten a jdm itr engine from them plzz.

If it's a B18C with a red valve cover, and a PR3 head with an intake manifold stamped P73, and it's from a reputable company, it's probably a Type-R motor. If you have all of the aforementioned but you want to be really sure, you can pull the cams off to check the rings, then look at the exhaust valve springs to see if they're dual. If you've found all of these things to be of Type-R standards and you're still not satisfied, you can pull the header off and mic the intake/exhaust ports/throttle body to see if they're to Type-R specs. If it's a civic type-r motor that you're getting, just look for the B16B stamp and call it good.
