it would be easier and cheaper to just buy a used gsr engine, if you want vtec that way nothing gets screwed up when youre trying to make an ls a vtec. you cant just throw on a head and call it vtec, there is a bunch of crap you have to do. it takes experience to pull that off. also why would you want to have a vtec and a turbo? you might as well just put in some cams with an aggressive lobe, kind of like the vtec lobe, then it would be almost like running vtec all the time. turbo is the way to go, not vtec and then turbo, turbo will make way more power. ls engines also already have low enough compression so you wont blow the head off running about 12psi of boost you shouldn't lower the compression any more. also dont buy crappy cams, just save up and buy good stuff. you really need to know what youre doing before you try to pull any of this off by yourself, so start reading up and know what you want and how to do it then do it. we cant hold your hand along the way.

I dunno bout the tuff guy stuff, but I didnt see much wrong with his informative post. I mean, why spend all the extra for vtec if he is going to boost. I love having vtec, but a non-v has just as much if not more potential for power(turboed) as the vtec.
