Default 1/8 mile times...tires?

Went to the track this past Friday.

My Integra went 9.1@80.0mph with 2.260 ft. on sh*tty Falken tires @ 32psi.
I've been told this is about a 14.0-14.2, depending on other variables.

My B17/B20 CX went 8.70@85.1mph consistently. I couldn't break into the 8.6's no matter how hard I tried. Best 60ft. was 2.18 on RE010s. It's hard because in 1st gear when VTEC kicks, the tires peel all the way to redline. I guess it's time for some sticker tires. Maybe Azenis? I know Toyo T1S is awesome.. but I'm willing to try something different.

Also, does anyone have a rough estimate what a 8.7 results in the 1320?

Nice times, I went 9.11 on AO32Rs ( not a good drag tire, my street tires), and when running 1/4 I pulled consistant 14.1's. My mods were JDM header, test pipe. clutch and flywheel. All interior, and belts on the car.

8.70, I would guess would be about 13.6 maybe 13.5.

You could give the BFG drag tire, or the Nitto radials a try.

Im not sure the Azenis would be a good choice, they are stiff, and prob wont work very well for drag racing. Good luck...

Bryan

To get a rough estimate of 1/4 mile time multiply your 1/8 mile by 1.55 (use as much decimal places as you have on the 1/8 mile time).

my 1/8th mile time in my teg was 9.269 @ 78.68 mph, turned into a 14.361@96 (low traps b/c the car refused to go into fourth, took three tries to get it in)

Well, using that math I end up with 14.10 for my Integra, and 13.48 for the CX.

I guess this is right, because I pulled about 2 cars on my friend with my Integra, and he rund 14.30s.

On my car...8.60 =13.26 and 8.85 = 13.56..but the trap speed was also about 4 MPH faster.

so your 1/8th was 8.8@89 on your 13.5 run?

Man, huge MPH difference. weird, because my HP is higher than yours.. but my torque is way lower.

Oh my bad...I was looking at your Integra's trap speed

No..on the 13.5 run it was 83.294 and on the 13.2 run it was 84.589

Hehehe..the 12.91 run the 1/8 mile time was 8.322 @ 86.309

I'd be interested in trying some drag radials. Looks like they help a lot.

I was driving pretty well, considering the tires are near bald. Wonder if I can pull a 1.9 or 2.0 on those drag radials.

Get some of the BFGs like Im using...I was doing consistent 1.95-2.00 60' on them..and I hear they get better with more use. Hell someone over on CSI puleld a 1.78 60' on them in a bossted SI!
