si brakes on dx - questions
I recently picked up 00 Si brakes for my 96 DX 3dr. I know I need to change the master cylinder to a bigger size. 13/16th MC is what I have stock (according to the referance). I was told I need a 7/8th. Would getting bigger then a 7/8th hurt? Like a 15/16th or 1". The stock DX proportional valve is all good from what I've heard (same as Si). So I'm going to leave that as is.
Also, I have a question about the brake booster. Does that need to be swapped? What would be the differance between DX/Si/Type R?

As for the master cylinder, you should be able to use any 7/8" MC from a 96-00 EX 2dr (NON ABS), or 99-00 Si (NON ABS). Those SHOULD bolt onto your existing brake booster. I bolded "should", because I'm not 100% on the EK chassis parts. If you want to be sure, you could go to the parts store and ask to see the MCs from both models (yours & the Si). If the mounts are the same, and the brake line connections are the same (size & location), then your good to go...
