Default si brakes on dx - questions

I recently picked up 00 Si brakes for my 96 DX 3dr. I know I need to change the master cylinder to a bigger size. 13/16th MC is what I have stock (according to the referance). I was told I need a 7/8th. Would getting bigger then a 7/8th hurt? Like a 15/16th or 1". The stock DX proportional valve is all good from what I've heard (same as Si). So I'm going to leave that as is.

Also, I have a question about the brake booster. Does that need to be swapped? What would be the differance between DX/Si/Type R?

Master Cylinder Referance

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 94eg! &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">If your car is a hatchback, it already has the prop valve for the rear discs (all EK hatches came with the same valve as the EK Si).

As for the master cylinder, you should be able to use any 7/8" MC from a 96-00 EX 2dr (NON ABS), or 99-00 Si (NON ABS). Those SHOULD bolt onto your existing brake booster. I bolded "should", because I'm not 100% on the EK chassis parts. If you want to be sure, you could go to the parts store and ask to see the MCs from both models (yours & the Si). If the mounts are the same, and the brake line connections are the same (size & location), then your good to go... </TD></TR></TABLE>
