can i just use the DX master cylinder/proportioning valve from the dx? the rear calipers arent that big, and i believe the master cylinder is the same size. i know when doin the integra brakes you have to switch them because of caliper size, etc. but just wondering if u have to change anything under the hood for the si brakes.

they should be the same. I know for a fact the prop valve is a 30/40 which is for drunm brakes in the rear. From what i understand you have a DX eg and you want to put in a SI eg proportionate valve and m.c. with booster? May I ask why you want to change it or is it because your stock one failed? i would reccomend getting a jdm integra m.c./booster and 40/40 prop valve. I found that jdm integra's you don't have to bend the lines much at all. very clean and easy install as i have it on my hatch with gsr suspension all the way around. hope this clarify's your question

here i go giving out free info again!

This is what you need besides the disc conversion:

1.) JDM integra master cylinder
2.) JDM integra brake booster
3.) 40/40 proportionate valve
4.) Dot 4 brake fluid of course

Also would reccomend integra stainless brake lines

why do i need all of that **** when they came factory from the same exact car? so in order for these to work, i dont use the CIVIC SI prop. valve that it came with or the same exact size master cylinder out of the CIVIC SI that is in my dx? theyre the same size, and other than that, i dont understand why i would need some integra parts for a car when it came with these stock. btw, nothing failed, so i assume i can just use the stock dx **** with it, instead of using the si stuff, because they look the same to me.

your dx does not have rear disc brakes! Therefore you need to change the m/c, booster and prop valve! The civic si and integra are the same stuff because they both come stock with disc's in the rear and they also use a 40/40 prop valve. Integra stuff is usually easier to find than civic si.

would it be the same for swapping integra discs in a a 92 cx? i would imagine, would it be easier to swap- the hard lines, brake booster, master cylinder and everything else from the integra? that sound a better than bending hard lines.

I put si brakes on my ek - I did not change the mc, prop - just the disc conversion - it worked fine. I heard someone on cc have a problem and changed replaced it with 4040 prop and fixed the prob. I now have an eg recently bought a gsr disc w/ 4040. I'll let you know how it goes.
