Default any ideas of possable leaks

ok, so this weekend i helped my buddy boost his car. We get everything done, tune it a little and go for a drive, tune some more, go into boost and it only goes up to 2 or 3 psi, and drops...it doesnt hold boost. So we figure there might be leaks from the welds on the charge pipes..but none, so we take the IC off and fab up some pipe to see if the IC is leaking....not the problem... all the couplers are tight as hell, and no vaccume leaks, vacuume is 20 at idle, anyone go any ideas? we are clueless

What size spring do you have in your wastegate and where are you getting your wg vac. source from? Could you have forgot to put in the wastegate firing ring (I think that's what it's called - the ring that sits between the WG and flange) or is it in backwards?

Good luck

its an internal wastegate and the vac source comes from the compressor. We put on a MBC and closed it all the and still went to 2psi and didnt hold

did u do a boost leak test? the dsm leaks a bit at idel but does close up after u get if gas.. and there should be a line going to the wasgate even if u have a boost controler and it sounds like a leak to me man maybe maybe maybe a clogged cat.. it holds boost back makes sence a bit but id try the test first let me know how it goes
