proportioning valve question
did some 99-00 civic SI's come with abs and some without... if so are the proportioning valves different between the two... what are the markings on it, and did any other 6th gen civics come with the same prop. valve???????????
The Si never came with ABS in the US. There are no markings to distinguish the EK prop valves from each other. I.E. The Si prop valve looks like an EX prop valve. But I heard the EJ6 and EM1 prop valves have the same part number.
i have a 98 dx hatch and i cant seem to find someone who knows if i can use my stock prop valve or if i have to swap it out. This is the only thing im waiting for, i have all the other parts to do the conversion... bout to say **** it and see what happens like a ******* hillbilly....

From what I've been told by Honda, the Si prop. valve is the same as ALL 96-00 hatch prop. valves.
IF this is true you don't have to swap one at all.
I didn't when I put mine ITR brakes on my hatch [just DC MC and booster] and I have had no problems.
